The Management
Port of Amsterdam, one of the Amsterdam Ports, is property of the municipality of Amsterdam. By order of the city council, Port of Amsterdam manages, exploits and develops it. Tasks include renewal, legislation and maintenance, marketing and promotion. The guaranteeing of safety and the protection of natural assets and the environment take up centre position. The main objective of Port of Amsterdam is to promote the economy and employment in Amsterdam Ports.

Port of Amsterdam continues to develop as centre for expertise in the field of international port development, a.o. through its participation in the association of Amsterdam Port Consultants and as a member of the International Association of Ports and Harbours.
